In his journey of musical discovery, South Africa’s DJ Stokie had tapped the vocal resources of several of his compatriots. The result is a song title “Funa Yena,” a collaborative work with Daliwonga, MDU aka TRP and Bongza.
From the looks of things, for his “Funa Yena” track, DJ Stokie didn’t just pick random musos but artistes he has musical synergy with, artistes of undeniable amapiano merit.
Daliwonga is a sterling voice in the world of amapiano music. The songster recently released a new project titled “Chameleon,” which is being promoted by some of amapiano’s finest voices, including DJ Maphorisa the Scorpion King.
MDU aka TRP and Bongza are almost inseparable these days, fine collaborators who spin great numbers at short notice.
They bring their collaborative magic to “Funa Yena,” a song of potent lyrical force that will detain the attention of any lover of good music out there.
