The thirsty among you should join us right now as we cool off with “Island Water.” Yup. Sounds exotic, but that’s only the title of a new EP by South African music producer Gemini Major.
All the same, it’s a compilation with the potential to make you relax. So no qualms. Let the music begin.
“Island Water” is by no means a surprise drop. The songster had promised the same earlier. And now he’s delivered it. Looking back, the question that immediately comes to mind is, was the wait worth it?
Well, we should think so. At least, the compilation sucks the listener into its orbit and keeps the listener there, without for one betraying the listener to the daemons of boredom.
In all, the project bears seven tracks, with guests on four of them – an ideal spread, if you should ask us, for it keeps the lead singer relevant and not fighting for space with his guest. Dunnie, Focalistic, Ayra Starr, NS3 and Manu Worldstar made vocal contributions to the compilation.
“Island Water” is potent enough to slake the thirsts of music lovers, whether they’re into hip hop or not. You gotta check out the compilation and embrace the Major.
