“Soro” sounds so like sorrow, but is that what Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa and Tresor elected to explore with their song? Come on.
The titled number is what came off a promise. Tresor had asked fans to look forward to a body of work titled “Rumble in the Jungle” and even shared the tracklist and cover art, provoking a fever of expectancy in fans.
Somewhere on the tracklist is the “Soro” tune – one of the songs in which the three friends spat out their bars without a guest. And it is clear they did just fine. While not magical, the song is potent enough to snap attention.
With the song, the Scorpion Kings Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa make it clear, without verbal articulation, that they are simply great when paired with Tresor Riziki – just as they are when they unleash their projects without him.
