In early February 2021, Kwiish SA released “LiYoshona” in collaboration with his pals Njelic, MalumNator, and De Mthuda. The song was a hit then. Now it appears to have gotten a new life, as another celebrate South African disc jockey Shimza has remixed it.
Shimza is not exactly big on remixes, but whenever he decides to remix a song, you know you just have to listen. He’s that good. This much is obvious from previous works, as well as the one in review, which is part of a 3-track project.
The original “LiYoshona” song screams amapiano. The remix appears to lean on afrotech, however. But that’s by the way. What you have here is a number well worth a place on a playlist.
We’re confident the artists behind the original song will love what Shimza has made of their masterpiece. Wouldn’t you rather surrender to the powers of his latest drop? Come on.
