Not long ago, Zimbabwean singer Sha Sha announced the imminent release of a body of work dubbed “I’m Alive.” Well, she’s released it now, and it has “Fast Car” as one of the tracks. The said song has Mellow & Sleazy, Mas Musiq and Soa Mattrix as guests.
A gathering of local sinews you have here. But then, there is no disputing the power of what they have created. The queen of this number is often mistaken for a South African because she’s been in the country a long time and collaborated with some of the key names in the industry as well. But she’s not from Mzansi.
At least for those who know her and have been following her career trajectory, she’s never given them a reason not to celebrate her offerings.
The decision to tap the vocal resources of Mellow & Sleazy, Mas Musiq and Soa Mattrix is not something we are privy to. But then, we readily confirm that they are good as a team. You should love what they have put together. Except for Mellow & Sleazy, which is a band of two, the others on this song are solo artists. But that’s by the way.
