“Alostro” is the anthem of the moment, a collaborative work between South Africa’s Zan’Ten, Djy Biza, StarJazz and Sgija Disciples. The first three are the lead singers, while the last one is the guest. But that’s by the way.
“Alostro” is part of a project dubbed “Another Version of Us.” Whether that title is an accident or well thought out is hard to determine. But, the singers in this song somehow gave a new version of themselves here.
And that version is not only something to be embraced but to share as well. The passion of the singing, the effortless flow, and the transition are stuff we expect any music lover to be enamoured with, whatever their tastes in music.
It’s the first time we have heard these palls on the same song this month, and we have no qualms saying we love what they have put together. You should love it, too. Just be prepared to open your mind to what they have released.
Some of the singers on the song haven’t popped into our orbit previously. But with the sheer brilliance of their outing here, they have somehow won us over, and we’ll be looking out for more numbers from them.
