AKA might be dead, but his memory is ever-fresh and his family members continue to recall their times with him and what his sudden passing means in their life. It has never been easy. AKA’s younger brother Steffan Forbes has just given insights into his passing.
In a post on his official Instagram page, Streffa, who is not exactly a social media person, had shared a laconic statement expressing his feelings over AKA’s assassination. While he did not mention his brother’s name. South Africans did not miss his reference.
It had to do with AKA, who was murdered on February 10 this year. The “Fela in Versace” rapper had a good time at Wish Restaurant on Florida Road in Durban and then stepped out into the streets with his friends and associates.
A point-blank shot to the head saw his sprawling to the ground and embracing mortality. Killed along with him was his former manager, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane. Their deaths reverberated across South Africa, Sadly, to this day, their killers have not been found.
“It’s not a feeling that disappears,” muses Steffan Forbes on Instagram, recalling the tragic moment of his brother’s killing and the reality he’d now have to live with that.
