A$AP Rocky To Stand Trial For Allegedly Shooting A Friend

These are not the best of times for Merican rapper A$AP Rocky. While he is chuffed with the recent addition to his family, another son, the songster is facing the unsmiling face of the law that just might send him to the slammer for allegedly shooting an old friend.

The musician is standing trial on two counts of assault with a semiautomatic weapon. Allegedly, he had pulled a weapon on a former friend twice and fired at him in one instant. A court in Los Angeles ruled yesterday, Monday, that he would stand trial for his actions.

A$AP Rocky is adamant he is innocent, though. He insists he is not guilty of the charges preferred against him.

During the hearing on Monday, the court was informed that a former founding member of the A$AP collective, Terell Ephron (stage name A$AP Relli), was injured back in 2021 following a confrontation.  He claimed that their relationship had broken down and that Rocky had abandoned other members of the collective.

During their encounter, he stated that he merely wanted to tell A$AP Rocky his side of the story but that the “Everyday” rapper shot at him. The bullet partially grazed his left arm.

It’s up to the courts to drop their verdict.
