AKA: Siv Ngesi Is Questioning The Timing of Arrests Ahead Of Elections

Siv Ngesi is questioning the timing of arrests of the suspects involved in AKA’s murder ahead of the elections.

For over one year, Mzansi was frustrated with SAPS for not making significant progress in their investigations on the shocking murder of SA Hip Hop icon AKA. However, everything changed this week when KwaZulu-Natal police commissioner Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi held a press conference and announced that six suspects had been arrested.

A seventh one was later added to the list. He stated that two of the suspects were arrested in Eswatini. According to reports, the suspects, believed to be brothers, appeared before a Magistrate in Manzini, central Eswatini, on Tuesday. Also, on Thursday, five other suspects appeared in the Durban Magistrates Court. The case was postponed to Wednesday, 6 March, for further investigations.

Siv Ngesi, who seemed to be following the news, took to the X app and asked his followers if they suddenly trusted SAPS. He wrote,

“You guys trust SA police now?”

A follower replied that there was no way that they do. Ngesi also questioned the timing of the arrests as the country prepares for the general elections on 29 May. He wrote,

“Suddenly, the pigs have information during an election year .. surprise surprise.”
