AKA Wins Another Afrimma Award

The late SA Hip Hop star AKA has posthumously won another AFRIMMA award.

Even in death, AKA has continued to rule the Hip Hop music space in South Africa. The famous emcee bagged a nomination for the Best Male Southern Africa award at the 10th edition of the African Muzik Magazine Awards (Afrimma).

It placed him in competition with top artists, including Sjava, Maphorisa, Musa Keys, and the late Costa Titch. At the event held on September 17, 2023, at the illustrious Dallas Symphony Orchestra in Dallas, Texas, and hosted by his girlfriend Nadia Nakai, the star was announced as the winner of the category.

This marks the third time he has won an AFRIMMA. His win was announced by his fanbase, The Megacy, on the X app. They wrote, ” AKA is the Best Male Southern African artist of 2023 at Afrimma Awards🏆, Thank You for Voting Ⓜ️egacy. This is 3rd time AKA wins this Award🏆🏆🏆 #Mega4AFRIMMA #LongLiveSupaMega,”
