AKA’s Lawyers Halt The Braai Show With Cassper Nyovest

Family Tree rapper Cassper may have his papers in order, but he might still not host The Braai Show for its second season, thanks to a law suit filed by rival AKA over his host candidature.

SABC had unveiled the “Amademoni” rapper as the host of the second season of the show, dubbed #TheBraaiShowWithCass, while promising fans an exciting adventure with the songster.

Cassper himself had announced the gig with fanfare on social media. At the time many had wondered if he was employed by AKA. It turned out he wasn’t and that those who had employed him to host the show were unaware of his beef with AKA.

AKA is a part owner of The Braai Show (50%),  and is well known to be an adversary of the Family Tree boss. Apparently he wasn’t consulted when SABC-1 decided to use his adversary as a host.

AKA had contacted his lawyers who served a notice to SABC-1 to halt the show for which the station had co-opted Cassper Nyovest as host.

Will Cassper Nyovest still get to host the show? The coming months should reveal a lot. What do you think, though? You may want to join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section below.
