Alicia Keys Set To Drop ‘Alicia’ Album This Friday

Alicia Keys announces plans to release new album “Alicia” this Friday, September 18, 2020.

For all Alicia Keys fans (that is virtually everyone in the world) the queen has finally announced the official date for her album’s release. The album, “Alicia” which will be her seventh studio project is scheduled to be released on Friday, September 18, 2020. That’s 3 days from now, so get ready.

The album was initially set for release in march but was pushed back due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This makes it four years since the “No One” hit maker dropped an album. The forthcoming project is expected to feature 15 solid tracks, some of which have already been released.

They include “Love Looks Better”, “So Done” with Khalid, “Perfect Way To Die”, “Good Job”, “Underdog”, “Time Machine”, and “Show Me Love” with Miguel. In an interview with Apple Music, she revealed that she named the album “Alicia” because it is the first time she’s been most truly herself.

The Associated Press reports that the album will also feature contributions from Jill Scott, Snoh Aalegra, Sampha, Diamond Platnumz, and Ed Sheeran. On the release day, Alicia will perform a virtual concert to celebrate. The concert, “American Express UNSTAGED: ALICIA” will stream at 6pm ET. RSVP here.
