Ama Qamata Emotional As She Exits Gomora

Saying “goodbye” to a flick you are part of and have become fond of might not be easy. But life happens, and one has to wave goodbye. That’s exactly the case with South African actress Ama Qamata.

After a while on the set of Gomora, Ama Qamata is bidding farewell to the soapie. “A while” may not do justice to her odyssey on the set of one of South Africa’s most popular flicks. Actually, she was there from the outset.

Ama Qawata played the role of Buhle Ndaba, the daughter of a wealthy Sandton banker. By a quirk of fate, she lost her father and the lifestyle he could provide when he was alive. These circumstances threw her into the township of Gomora.

23-year-old Qamata has seen a lot as Buhle Ndaba, including the loss of her brother Langa Ndaba. She herself would die on the show, leading to the end of her character and her exit from Gomora.

Understandably, she was emotional to be out of the series. And so are her fans. In a post on her Instagram page in which she shared a scene from the shooting, she said she was short of words to express her feelings.
