Cassper Nyovest on collaborating with Samthing Soweto

Some of the features on the album I was stoked about where Joy, which features an amazing vocalist by the name of Samthing Soweto. A lot of people have been complaining, saying they missed his voice and we were able to get him on the album, which is one of my favorite songs on the album and I’m very excited about people listening to the song.

Cassper Nyovest on why he made an amapiano album

With this album following up from ‘Any Minute Now,’ I decided to switch up the sound because I felt like the world was catching up to amapiano. And me being a big voice in the continent, I felt like I should use it to put more shine on the genre. And also I was just enjoying making music that’s authentically South African. And I was just in a good mood and I wanted to dance, so I decided to make a fully piano album and just give my take on how it would sound if I had to do it.

Cassper Nyovest on why ‘Siyathandana’ was released after pressure from fans

It was actually chosen as a single by the public. It wasn’t supposed to be a single. People heard a snippet of it and then everyone started to demand that we release the song and I had to stress the label to change plans and it just took over, man. And that’s what’s beautiful about music. Sometimes you might think that a song is going to do wonders and then a song that nobody’s looking at just takes over. So it’s one of those songs that are just a blessing.
