ASAP Rocky tells a Rihanna fan she is working on her next album.
It has been eight years since Barbadian star Rihanna dropped her last album, “Anti.” The project spawned hits including “Work,” “Kiss It Better,” “Love On The Brain,” etc. Fans have since anticipated the release of her next record, but she seems to be busy with Fenty.
Rih’s boyfriend was asked by a fan about her upcoming 9th studio album. ASAP replied, saying, “She’s working on it,” with a smile. The video was shared on social media on Saturday. He received cheers from fans on the street, who screamed, “We love you, A$AP!”
Rihanna was asked on the red carpet by Highsnobiety if music was in her plans for 2024. She jokingly said, “I mean, I can’t tell you everything, girl. It’s giving crystal ball.”
Producer James Fauntleroy told PEOPLE in December that he had been working on new material for the star.
He said, “I’ve known her for so long, and the last session I did for her was last week. So I’ve known her for so long, and I think the biggest lesson I learned, whether I knew or not, was just confirmed by her ascent from pop starlet to literal billionaire is the value of taste.”
