At Last, Lauryn Hill’s “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill” Certified Diamond

Lauryn Hill’s “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” has just been certified diamond by the RIAA.

The RIAA shared the news of the album’s certification in a tweet today 17 February, tagging Lauryn Hill and a couple of others. You can check it out below.

The certification is significant in that it is the songstress’s only studio album and was released over two decades ago.  At the time the album was released, many had expected many more to follow. But none came.

Commenting about that, she had stated that no one from her record label ever called her about the possibility of making another album after “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.” Perhaps she was waiting for them to give the signal?

By the way, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” was pretty popular at the time of release and many had expected her to follow it up with another project. Anyway, in 2002, she released a live album titled “MTV Unplugged No. 2.0.”

Expectedly, she is chuffed by her new diamond certification for “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.”

Well, what do you think of Lauryn Hill’s “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” going diamond finally? You’re welcome to join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section below.
