On Wednesday, February 23, Mzansi lost a legend, and everyone has not been able to keep calm. In the early hours of that morning, SA Hip Hop star, Riky Rick shared a shocking tweet that led fans to think that he had taken his life.
Later that day, his death was confirmed. It was revealed that the “Sondela” star had hung himself in his home in Johannesburg. A spokesperson for the family confirmed the news and called on the public to give them time to heal.
Social media has since been flooded with heartbroken reactions from fans and fellow celebs. Big Zulu, who collaborated with Riky Rick on the hit song “Mali Eningi” shared a video of himself talking about the legendary rapper. He teared up while talking about his life. Fans have praised him for giving Rick his flowers while he was alive.
