Winning is an uplifting experience and many want to win. But it’s a fact of life that not everyone will end up winning.
Anyway, Big Zulu, Mampintshaand MFR Souls are winners. The recent South African Music Awards has just shown their musical appeal as well as the fact that the audience appreciates their creative adventures.
The results were plaques for their efforts.
The “trio” cannot be more diverse. “Trio” might be a misnomer in the sense that MFR Souls is a band of two. The pair has been on the music scene for years, created winning numbers, and stood out before the SAMA recognition.
Their SAMA win is especially gratifying because they narrowly escaped death in an accident years ago. The pair’s focus is amapiano.
Mampintsha is more of a kwaito artist. Known for the many dramas surrounding his relationship with Babes Wodumo, the songster has mellowed down a bit and the drama is not as noisy as it used to be.
Big Zulu is a rapper and one of the finest out there. Besides rapping, he also owns Inkabi Records. He’d expressed massive excitement about his SAMA nomination and even more excitement about winning.
He’d shared his plaques online, showing just happy he was to clinch the SAMA scudetto.
