When the minister of Sport, Arts and Culture thought about celebrating dancers, and tagging Bontle Modiselle to the post, he certainly was not expecting the reply he got. While several Mzansi artists have complained about how the ministry for Sport, Arts and Culture treat artists, we would all agree that they never fail to celebrate them (artists).
Celebrating International Dancers’ Day, Minister, Nathi Mthethwa took to Instagram to shout out Mzansi dancers. Bontle was one of the dancers who were tagged to the post. Reacting to the tag, she first thanked the minister for the acknowledgement.
She went on to give hints on the “grievances, concerns, and bottomless questions” on how to make things better for all artists in the country. She closed off by calling dancers “The athletes of God”. Hopefully, the ministry addresses these issues.
