Britney Spears’ 2011 Song “Selfish” Replaces Justin Timberlake’s New Song At Number 1

Pop icon Britney Spears’ 2011 song “Selfish” replaced her ex, Justin Timberlake’s new “Selfish” single at number one on US iTunes chart.

The fans are seeking justice for their queen Britney. Following the release of Justin Timberlake’s new song “Selfish”, Om Friday, Spears’ 2011 song “Selfish,” off her “Femme Fatale” album, reached no. 1 on the US iTunes chart. The 13-year-old song topped her ex Justin Timberlake’s song, also titled “Selfish.”

You may be wondering why. In a 2021 documentary titled “Framing Britney Spears” and a memoir titled “The Woman In Me,” published last year, the “Toxic” star spoke about a decades-old romance with Justin. The two starred together in the Mickey Mouse Club when they were kids, and later dated from 1999 for three years.

Spears revealed they broke up because of her infidelity, which was highly publicized but said they press did not know Timberlake had also been unfaithful.

Fans called for an apology from Timberlake. He later shared a message that read, “I’ve seen the messages, tags, comments and concerns and I want to respond.”

“I am deeply sorry for the times in my life where my actions contributed to the problem, where I spoke out of turn, or did not speak up for what was right,” he continued, later adding, “I specifically want to apologize to Britney Spears.”
