The self-styled African Giant, the Nigerian singer Burna Boy, was in Harare, Zimbabwe, recently, where he performed before a packed audience and wowed those present.
The Zimbabwean journalist Hopewell Chin’ono was present and shared a snap from the event, urging those who were also present to share the clips and photos they took from the Nigerian’s performance.
This led to an interesting conversation in which some Zimbabweans claimed they don’t even know who Burna Boy is. One Zimbabwean joked that Burna Boy had gone to Zimbabwe to sell his toes.
Before Burna Boy popped on stage, he’d a bounced to the world that he’s already in Mugabe’s backyard. Fans expressed their excitement in the comments of that tweet.
It turned out that was only the beginning as the Nigerian went on to put up a sterling performance, leaving some of his excited fans stating he’s on his way to winning another Grammy.
Some South African fans urged him to come to the Rainbow Nation, and others opposed it, stating he must apologise to Mzansi first.
It was an emotional performance for the Nigerian, and he wept while paying tribute to his late friend on stage. You can check out the clip below.
