For the first time, singer, Camila Cabello has opened up about her split from ex-boyfriend, Shawn Mendes.
Since announcing her split from popstar, Shawn Mendes in November 2021, Camila Cabello has finally opened up about it. On Friday, March 4, the “Havana” star released her new song “Bam Bam” featuring Grammy-winning British singer, Ed Sheeran and the reception for it has been crazy.
The song’s beginning lyrics have led to a lot of speculation by the fans. It is believed to have been inspired by her break up with Shawn after two years of dating. The lyrics read “I said I’d love you for life, but I just sold our house / We were kids at the start, I guess we’re grown-ups now / Couldn’t ever imagine even having doubts / But not everything works out,”
Appearing in a recent chat on Apple Music’s “New Music Daily With Zane Lowe“, Camila talked about the new song, her forthcoming album “Familia” and the speculations surrounding the new song. She revealed that she was trying to say “that things change and things take really unexpected turns.”
She continued “I f*cking love Shawn. And I feel like there is literally nothing but love for him. This song is mostly just about like, ‘Okay, how do I make a song that shows the cycles of love, and life’… You know, whatever it is that’s going on in your life. Whether it is a breakup or a divorce, or like you said, a friend breakup, or you’ve just gone through something that just is really sh*tty. Hopefully, this can make you be like, ‘It is that way now, but things are always taking crazy turns.’” She also opened up about her focus and priorities these days.
