It’s no longer news that Nadia Nakai has departed Cassper Nyovest’s Family Tree record label, but the politics of her departure continues to walk tall like a ghost.
Some fans of both artists are of the opinion that Cassper Nyovest and Nadia Nakai are no longer cool following the latter’s exit. Addressing her exit in previous interviews, Nadia Nakai had claimed that they’re still cool but that Casper wasn’t happy about her exit from the label.
Also, speculations have been rife that Nadia Nakai appearing as a guest on the first season finale of The Braai Show had angered Cassper, a rival to AKA, and that it had led to a deterioration in their relationship.
She denied this but noted she did the interview without informing her then-boss.
For his part, Cassper, addressing a fan who said he sensed tension between the “Amademoni” hitmaker and Nadia Nakai, noted that since Nadia Nakai left the label, they no longer work together and may not hang out together as much.
He noted that Nadia Nakai has got a new team and should be okay. Apparently, even when they worked together, the “More Drugs” rapper was doing things her way. You can check out his tweet below.
