Black Coffee is unarguably one of the biggest DJ figures in South Africa and in Africa as a whole. His network covers who is who in global pop, from Drake to Jay-Z. He is also one of the most in-demand Mzansi DJs internationally.
His pal Cassper Nyovest gave even more clue to Black Coffee’s power and influence as a musician in a recent sit-down with Slikour Onlife Radio. Cassper Nyovest, who readily calls Black Coffee an inspiration, noted in the interview that the “Drive” muso casually texts some of the biggest rappers in the world.
He gave the Canadian rapper Drake as one of the global figures Black Coffee casually texts. He noted that the same way he showed fans WhatsApp conversations with Anthony Hamilton is the same way Black Coffee showed him conversations with Drake.
A shocked Cassper Nyovest joked about how he almost sent a voice note to Drake, to check out a song, using Black Coffee’s phone.
In the same interview, Cassper Nyovest revealed that Black Coffee also casually texts Jay-Z, American rapper and hip hop’s first billionaire. In one of the text, according to Cassper Nyovest, Jay-Z was asking where Black Coffee was in the world.
