Chris Brown Slammed With Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

Has Chris Brown stepped into a “suing season”? The American singer is being sued —again.

This time, though, it has nothing to do with a “mad dog”. The American singer and record producer is being sued for alleged copyright violations.

Greensleeves Publishing is suing the music maestro for $500k in damages, as well as $1 million for the profits he made from his 2017 track “Privacy.” Joined in the suit is Sony Music.

Greensleeves Publishing claims that Chris Brown had lifted lyrics for his “Privacy” song from Red Rat’s 1997 song “Tight Up Skirt.”

The revelation provoked an interesting conversation online, with some fans saying he should pay for having used the lyrics without permission, and others stating there’s nothing wrong with sampling.

By the way, Chris Brown had previously being sued by a former house help, who stated that his dog Hades tore flesh from her face and other parts of her body while she was taking out trash. She accuses him of having tried to cover up the attack for which she had to undergo surgery.

Well, what do you think of the suit against Chris Brown? You may want to join the conversation by dropping your thoughts in the comment section below. Way to go!
