Theirs was a seriously anticipated fight. But the outcome left many South Africans shaking their heads and demanding to have their ticket money back.
In case you missed what happened over the weekend, it was a much-anticipated fight between controversial dancer and sangoma Zodwa Wabantu and actress Manaka Ranaka. The two had what was called a celebrity boxing match. But South Africans who saw the match thought it was more of a circus than anything else.
They have a point, perhaps. For one, it is impossible to watch the clip of them “boxing” without having a good laugh. Their hands rarely hit home, and Zodwa Wabantu was just running about, seemingly uninterested in a fight. You can check out the clip below.

Many South Africans who bought tickets to see the fight were annoyed that the two celebs “wasted” their time and money with this “circus of a fight.”
Zodwa Wabantu was to have fought Khanyi Mbau, but “The Wife” actress denied they planned such an encounter in the ring. Out of the blue, Manaka Ranaka propped herself as a replacement for her actress colleague. Only, the outcome of that fight still elicits guffaws days after it was held. Can you beat that?
