Distruction Boyz Are Taking A Break
Famous Gqom hitmakers Distruction Boyz have announced plans to take a break.
We have seen some of the country’s most prominent duos split up. We watched Piano stars Jazzi Disciples part ways to embark on their solo careers. Last year, Murdah Bongz left Black Motion to start his solo career as MØRDA.
Also, in 2020, the Distruction Boyz announced they would kick off their solo careers. The guys Que and Goldman did justice to that. They reunited in 2022 to make music together again, but that was short-lived.
Again, they have announced plans to take a break from being a duo to nurture their solo careers. In a shared tweet, they thanked the members of the Gqom community for supporting them through the years and asked for their permission to take a break. They also announced their last performance as Distruction Boyz at Cotton Fest over the weekend. See the tweet below.
Thank you for supporting us over the years! Allow us to take a break from being the ‘Distruction Boys’ duo you all love so that we can concentrate on our solo careers for a bit.
Join us tomorrow for our last set together @cottonfestjhb 🚀
We’ll be back together again soon!🇿🇦 pic.twitter.com/QZLlaprgIM
