DJ Maphorisa Says Major Record Labels Mess Up The Amapiano Movement

Piano star DJ Maphorisa says major record labels mess with the Amapiano movement.

If you know anything about Amapiano, then you know the genre thrives in consistency and back-to-back releases. No amount of new music or mixes is too much. The fans never complain, and the hitmakers never tire.

DJ Maphorisa recently took to Twitter and called out Universal Music for messing with the Amapiano movement. The “Banyana” star was not impressed by the fact that the label took down the Scorpion Kings mix because they wanted to release Sam Deep’s new song “Thokoza.” In his opinion, major record labels do not know how to make money.

He shared that the mix being there means that “they” are making the song big. Everyone knows that Maphorisa knows a thing or two about making money off amazing talent. Maybe Universal Music needs to listen to what he has to say. Who knows? He could be right.Dj Maphorisa Says Major Record Labels Mess Up The Amapiano Movement 2Dj Maphorisa Says Major Record Labels Mess Up The Amapiano Movement 3Dj Maphorisa Says Major Record Labels Mess Up The Amapiano Movement 4
