DJ Sbu Not Fazed By “Sellout” Claims For New Gig With Radio 2000

Radio star and businessman DJ Sbu is not fazed by the accusations of being a sellout after announcing his new gig with Radio 2000.

DJ Sbu has come under fire since he announced his new gig with Radio 2000. The star was accused of returning to corporate after selling the dream of being an entrepreneur when he left Metro FM. Speaking to SowetanLIVE, he said,

“One thing people need to remember is that I didn’t leave my job, actually I was pretty happy with my gig at Metro FM. I just woke up one day and found out that I was fired. I couldn’t even say goodbye to my listeners shortly after being suspended the following day after the award show.”

“So, for people to claim that I’m a ‘sellout’ is quite unfair. I was happy with my job on the radio, I just got fired.”

He continued, “I’ve always motivated people to pursue their dreams and do what they love; I never said they should deny their opportunities. For people to claim that I’m a sellout is unfair. I was happy with my job on the radio, I just got fired.

“Entrepreneurs know there’s a reason why I signed a radio contract. Every move I make will open a new business; it’s not just a regular radio gig.”
