South Africa’s DJ Sliqe has just recorded another career win with his naming Head Of Hip Hop/R&B At Sony Music Entertainment South Africa.
Anyone who has followed the career trajectory of the songster will not be surprised at his latest win. The songster has done much for the industry already and is in a position to push the record label to new frontiers.
Sean Watson, Sony Music Entertainment Africa, acknowledged this much in a statement. According to him, there is something there is a creative quality about the choice of DJ Sliqe for the role.
He acknowledged DJ Sliqe’s vision for music while stating that DJ Sliqe is now in a position to make the most difference for the music community.
Sean Watson is not the only one excited to have DJ SLiqe on board. A&R Director Spiro Damaskinos is just as excited. Having worked with DJ Sliqe previously, he said he is looking forward to working with the muso, who he described as a great producer. Mzansi shares his sentiment on the DJ.
