DJ Sumbody’s Business Partner Denies Gangster Claims

DJ Sumbody’s business partner has denied claims of him being a gangster.

Over the past weekend, Mzansi was hit with a shocker. We could not believe that one of the country’s most prominent Disc Jockeys was shot dead. Since his passing (along with his driver), there have been claims that he was involved with gangsters.

However, his business partner, Tshepi Ranamane, has refuted the claims. Speaking at Sumbody’s funeral service on Saturday, he stated that the late DJ had been spooked after a shooting in front of his club in September. He allegedly feared for his life and isolated himself.

He revealed that the victim’s car was similar to his, and he thought there were people after him. Ranamane refuted gangster claims against the DJ, saying he was good at what he did. He said,

“We had to go to his house to meet, and he was scared and I was asking him, but my man what’s wrong and he says because the car that the guy was driving is similar to his – in make and colour, he thought the people were after him.”

He continued, “There are conspiracy theories that are suggesting that he was a gangster. I’m so sorry guys, the guy was none of those things. The only thing he was is he was very good at what he did.”
