In an Instagram video he shared yesterday 21 September 2020, DJ Tira could be seen playing his set while a man clutching a bottle of champagne lavished R100 notes on him. A grinning DJ Tira asked if Mzansi could practise the new trend.
#BlessTheDJ aims to encourage party goers to lavish money on disc jockeys as they play their sets. The idea has been greeted with delight by other disc jockeys. However, so far, no DJ has uploaded a video of him being showered with rand – or dollars.
Perhaps this might change over time as DJ Tira called for the challenge only a day ago – yesterday 21 September. You can check out the DJ’s video encouraging the spraying of money below.
