DJ Tira and his label Afrotainment is offering a R20k reward in exchange for information about the label’s stolen studio equipment.

DJ Tira and Afrotainment have been hit hard by thieves who burglarized their studio and made away with expensive studio equipment. The label’s artist TipCee took to social media and revealed that the studio was broken into on Wednesday evening, 24 April 2024, and several pieces of equipment were stolen. This includes the label’s hard drives containing music files.

Tipcee and the label further urged the public to come forth with any information on the stolen items. They also offered a R20K reward for the successful recovery of the equipment and help capture of the thieves.

“If anybody has information or comes across people selling studio equipment that is suspected to be the equipment stolen from Afrotainment, please contact us immediately.”

Mzansi has shared their thoughts on the shocking news. Some believe it was an inside job.

vhutshilonengwenda wrote, “The people who do this the get all information from one of you guys. No one can just go break in without an alert that there’s no one at the studio because you guys are always there.”

baba_ka_zanoh reacted, “Definitely an inside job. It’s not the equipment that was wanted, but mostly the drive that contains music.”
