Celebrated gospel singer Dr Rebecca Malope was allegedly disrespected by fellow gospel musician Bucy Radebe’s husband during her performance (live recording) in Sun City on Saturday.
Thapelo Thoboke had reportedly told the gospel musician to “f#ck off,” leaving her overwhelmed with grief.
In a post on Instagram, Bucy Radebe thanked all those who supported them in Sun City on Saturday, noting they had a wonderful time and she enjoyed every bit of the performance. She tagged Vusi Nova, Rebecca Malope, and two others.
Vusi Nova replied to the post, noting it was beautiful and amazing.
Dr Rebecca was also in the comments, but her take was different. She said she wished she had the same experience. Rebecca Malope said in over three decades of her music career, she had never been so disappointed and disrespected. She ended up expressing the hope it doesn’t repeat itself. She, however, failed to mention the name of whoever had disrespected her.
Fans were just as hurt that she was disrespected, and they condemned Bucy Radebe’s husband for his actions.
