There is said to be a big rift in the Mandela family at the moment following the decision of Zoleka Mandela’s aunt Zenani not to allow her to be buried at the Mandela family’s Fourways Memorial Park Cemetry.
Zoleka Mandela battled with cancer for years and eventually lost the fight this month when she was declared dead at the hospital. But before her death, she made a couple of decisions, including that she wished to be buried beside her grandmother Winnie Mandela, and mother Zindzi Mandela.
Indeed, the family was set to obey that wish by burying her where she wanted, but Zenani intruded at the last minute with policemen, preventing Zoleka from being buried at the Memorial Park Cemetry. She provided an interdict to stop the interment at the site.
Interestingly, Zenani was one of the people that Zoleka had written in her diary that she didn’t want at her burial. But she showed up anyway, preventing Zoleka from having one of her last wishes before her death.

There is said to be a terrible split in the family at the moment as a result of the decision to prevent Zoleka from being buried where she wanted. Even the public is debating the whole drama.
