The DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards is here again, and many celebs are nominated in the multiple categories on the table.
Among those nominated this year is the popular businesswoman and philanthropist Shauwn Mkhize. She’s nominated for the favourite personality award alongside Lasizwe, Connie Ferguson, Makhadzi, and DBN Gogo.
Her nomination alone is such big news for her — a milestone — that she can’t keep calm. She admitted this much in a post on Instagram, noting it meant a lot to her.
In a follow-up post, she had shared pictures of herself and some of those who were nominated along with her, adding she had a beautiful moment with them. Her “daughter” Sbahle Mpisane was somewhere in the comments celebrating with her.
Congratulations have been pouring in for Shauwn Mkhize after news of her nomination hit social media. Some of her fans noted she deserved the nomination and wished her success at the end of the day.
Of course, getting a nomination is one thing, and winning is a different ball game altogether. It will be interesting to see who will win. But then it’s clear that, win or lose, Shauwn Mkhize has reached a milestone and will forever be grateful for it. Some solidarity.
