Mzansi has reacted to “Empini” singer Kelly Khumalo’s skin lightening.
Kelly Khumalo has been in the news a lot this year, mainly due to the ongoing Senzo Meyiwa trial. The singer is presently catching a lot of heat since she was implicated by two of the suspects in court for the trial.
They named her as the mastermind behind the murder, saying she paid them to do it. The singer’s fans said they found it hard to believe that the information was true.
The star is presently getting dragged for her skin tone. A Twitter (X) user, DMN4ever, shared two photos of the singer, one where she was younger and a more recent one, and wrote,
“Kelly Khumalo went from being an African woman to a Korean teenage boy.”
The younger photo shows a black-skinned Kelly, while the other one shows her with light skin. Fans have since reacted to the tweet.
Ratshilumella replied, “They failed to prosecute her while she was black, what makes you think they will succeed now that she is Asian?” ReydeC0raz0nes reacted, “Absolutely unrecognisable. She could have legit gotten a new identity.” Meet_tycoon replied, “Wow, what happened there? Is she bleaching?” Some were shocked at the transformation.
