Fans have voiced their support for singer Kelly Khumalo amid new developments on the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial.
The recent updates on the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial have not been great for “Empini” star Kelly Khumalo. However, her fans have stuck by her side, refusing to believe that she did any wrong.
Bongani Nanzi, one of the accused in the murder, revealed this week that Khumalo was the alleged mastermind in the murder in 2014. According to him, he was paid R45 000 to carry out the murder, and another R15 000 was given to him on Sunday, 26 October, the same day that Meyiwa was killed.
He said another R30,000 was sent to him a few days after that. Nanzi and another suspect, Muzi Sibiya, also said his confessions were made under duress. However, they have led to an uproar on social media. According to further revelations, it was claimed that Khumalo was in contact with the suspects accused in the murder.
Fans have rallied around Khumalo, refusing to believe the claims. They tweeted their support for the singer and shared their beliefs that she is innocent. One fan wrote,
