Doja Cat almost missed her Grammys win speech due to a bathroom break.
The 64th Annual Grammys Awards ceremony saw a lot of first-time winners who were excited to be recognized at the show last night. South Africa’s pride, Doja Cat also snagged the first Grammy and she couldn’t hold her tears.
Doja and Sza were announced winners of the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” for their song “Kiss Me More”. They officially became the first two black women to win the award together. They were nominated alongside Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett, Justin Bieber & Benny Blanco, Coldplay and BTS.
While accepting the award, Doja confessed that she had taken the fastest piss of her entire life and run to the stage to accept the award. She thanked her collaborator, Sza who she said is “her everything”. So caught in the moment, she couldn’t help but shed tears while the audience cheered her.
