Here Comes Royal AM Ladies: MaMkhize Buys & Renames Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies FC

Popular businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize, also known as MaMkhize, has bought Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies FC and renamed it Royal AM Ladies.

This move might not surprise those who have been following the football odyssey of MaMkhize, who had earlier bought the male team of the same football club last season and renamed it Royal AM. Now, she’s also bagged the ladies’ club, and things seem to be going right.

Following the acquisition, and as part of carefully laid-out plans, Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies FC, which played in the Hollywoodbets Super League, will now relocate to KwaZulu-Natal, which is already home to the male team.

Royal AM confirmed that the transition is going smoothly and that the South African Football Association (SAFA) had approved the name change and the change of home ground.

The people managing the Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies FC don’t have anything to worry about. The new owners will allow coaches and other technical managers to continue in their roles in the interim.

With the new purchase, MaMkhize strengthens her hold on South Africa’s football universe. Royal AM and Royal AM ladies compete in the same SAFA-run competition. It will be interesting to see how far the female team will go with its new owners.
