Hip-hop Fans Are Excited About 21 Savage’s Appearance On Drake’s New Album

The unveiling of Drake’s seventh studio album, “Honestly, Nevermind” stunned the world on Thursday afternoon (June 16). And despite the fact that he released the tracklist, no features were listed, and now listeners can see that the only feature on “Jimmy Cooks” is none other than 21 Savage, his longtime collaborator.

The song, which appears to be a follow-up to Certified Lover Boy’s “Knife Talk,” starts out a little slower than their last collaboration before a startling tempo swap shifts the mood. It may be a standout just because it’s distinctive, but it’s also because of the frigid bars from each rapper, since it’s the closer to an album labeled as dance.

Drake takes care of the first verse before introducing the Atlanta rapper, who is known for his catchy and vicious rhymes. It’s a mix of fun, cockiness, and hype, which the two rappers listed are known for.

And, as it turns out, 21 Savage is receiving a lot of acclaim from fans, particularly hip-hop heads, for altering the album’s flow and cranking things up a notch. Many consider his appearance on that one song to be the album’s high point.
