Gospel singer HLE has defended Ntokozo Mbambo against Kelly Khumalo following SAMAs rant about the votes being rigged.
It has been a drama week for most following the recently held SAMA awards ceremony at the SunBet Arena on Saturday. Kelly Khumalo, who lost the awards she was nominated for, took to the X app to accuse the organisers of rigging the votes and also threw shade at Best Female Artist of the Year winner Ntokozo Mbambo.
She wrote, “Arranged winnings FUSEG. I’m not scared of all of you FUSEG! FUSEG NONKE!” She also maintained that she has no regrets for the things she has said and would stand by her words. “I said what I said and take nothing back!” She wrote.
“She knows she doesn’t deserve it. Numbers don’t lie… Even Ntokozo knows that numbers don’t lie! We are not scared of her. Fuseg SAMAs.”
While her meltdown has been heavily criticized by Mzansi, Kelly seems to remain adamant that she deserved all the awards she didn’t get. Former Joyous Celebration singer HLE has spoken out in defence of Ntokozo Mbambo, who is her friend and colleague.
HLE reacted in support of Ntokozo, “Hey guys! Just want to say, TEAM NTOKOZO!!!!!!!!! Okay bye.”
During her interview on eNCA, Mbambo thanked God for her wins and even quoted a scripture to back it up.
