A new season of Idols SA is here. Not surprisingly, it’s a season of mixed thoughts and verdicts as well – not just for the contestants but for the judges too.
Of particular interest are Somizi Mhlongo and Thembi Seete. The one is a senior judge, and the other has only just joined the reality show alongside JR, a notable South African rapper and music producer.
After the most recent episode, one viewer complained that he isn’t “feeling” Somizi yet and that the comic media personality isn’t providing constructive feedback to the contestants but merely dropping a “yes,” “no,” “let’s vote” about the contestants.
Another viewer was content to talk about Somizi’s hair and how beautiful it looked during the show.
Interestingly it wasn’t a perfect outing for Somizi, and Thembi Seete, as both clashed on set, leaving viewers stunned and wondering how they’d manage to get on in the next episodes.
Viewers were sorely divided, with some claiming that Somizi was bullying the celebrated actress. You can check out the clips below. And yet others thought Somizi hadn’t done anything wrong.

It remains to be seen what will happen in the next episode when the two are expected to sit again on the judging panel.
