Mzansi reacts as the NPA reopens investigations into the tragic death of SA Hip Hop star, AKA’s late fiancée, Nelli Tembe.
3 months ago, the death of Anele “Nelli” Tembe hit Mzansi as a shock. No one saw it coming. According to reports, she had jumped off the balcony of a hotel she was staying at with fiancé, AKA. Her death was suspected to be a suicide. Later on, Nelli was laid to rest in a funeral ceremony attended by her family, Supa Mega, and several celebs.
A new report by News24 reveals that the National Prosecution Authority (NPA) has reopened investigations into her death. The NPA has now referred back to the docket of Nelli’s passing to the police for further investigation.
According to City Press, police investigations were initially concluded on May 25th, but deficiencies have led the NPA to refer back to it. The NPA has called it a suicide investigation, but also revealed that what the police provided had suspicions of murder.
