It’s been a week of many dramas, and there is no sign that there will be an end to it anytime soon. The dramas just might spill into another week and the world ambles through the New Year.
Part of the recent drama has been over the former beauty queen’s trip to Israel to compete in the Miss Universe beauty pageant. At the time, apparently, some of her compatriots had tried to dissuade her from travelling to compete in Israel, dismissing the country as an apartheid state (which it is not).
Anyway, with South Africa taking Israel to the International Court of Justice and accusing the Jewish state of genocide, the issue of Lalela’s trip to Jerusalem resurfaced again, with her compatriots dragging her over her decision. See the post and the comments to them below.

Lalela did an interview in August of 2023 saying that if she had to, she’d go to Israel to compete at the Miss Universe pageant all over again. That didn’t sound like someone who didn’t have a choice. even if she didn’t, she had one now and she’s saying she’d do it again. 🤷🏾♀️

By the way, there is no evidence so far of Israel committing genocide in Gaza, contrary to what is being peddled out there. The current conflict has been hard on both sides, and tempers are pretty high, as are disinformation and propaganda.
War erupted following the Hamas invasion of Israel and the massacre of 1200 people on October 7. The terrorist group has entrenched itself in tunnels across the country and cares not at all for its own people.
