Jacob Zuma’s Big Gaffe: See Why Mzansi Had A Good Laugh At Former President’s Expense

A reality that pervades life is that no one is above errors or mistakes. People sometimes do what they never intended to. Sometimes the result is hilarious and at other times it isn’t.

Wherever you choose to place former South African president Jacob Zuma’s recent gaffe is entirely up to you. But the respected politician certainly had the attention of the Rainbow Nation recently when he mistakenly asked his compatriots to vote for the ruling African National Congress (ANC).

It is no longer news that Mr Zuma was a key member of the ANC but had a falling apart with the part and has been fighting it sporadically. He’d even indicated a different political party that he wanted the electorate to vote for and not the ANC.

The scene was the launch of the MK party, of which he occupies a key position. During his presentation, the former president urged voters to vote for the ANC instead of the MK.

It was the sort of slip that would have ANC stalwart expiring with laughter. And indeed the former president had many of his compatriots holding their sides in laughter after he made the slip, the video of which you can find below.
