Some opportunities are so big that they might throw those who receive them off balance. It’s all good, though, as they have the opportunity to amplify their gift at a place of prestige and before a disparate audience.
This has been the reality of Jesse Clegg, a South African singer and songwriter. In early April, it was announced that he would perform at Carnegie Hall in New York.
Of course, Carnegie Hall is not just another event venue. It is an iconic place that has played host to several important voices in music across the United States. So it means a lot to the South African that he would be performing there.
By his own account, not only is he overjoyed at the prospect, but he is also somewhat “intimidated” by it all/ Well, here, at least, he has the support of his compatriots, who have been wishing him the best, as well as congratulating him on the Carnegie Hall performance.
