#JusticeForAKA: Fans Clamour For AKA’s Killers To Be Unearthed

#JusticeForAKA is one hashtag that is currently gaining momentum in South Africa as South Africans try to unravel who had ordered the hit and who had pulled the trigger on that fateful day of February 10 just outside Wish REstaurant on Florida Road in Durban.

AKA had stepped out of the restaurant alongside some of his associates, including Don Design and Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, his former manager, when his assassins materialized on the scene and shot him dead at point-blank range, ending a brilliant musical career and throwing South Africa into a state of mourning.

While police have admitted it was an assassination, there is currently no lead on who had committed the crime and South Africans are already losing faith in the investigation and in the ability of the police to find the killer.

So while it appeared like the police have become silent about the case, AKA’s fans and followers are determined the case shouldn’t die with the rapper. so they are trending the hashtag #JusticeForAKA to ensure that no one forgets the rapper soon. A reason for this initiative was that earlier last year, another notable musician, DJ Sumbody (Oupa John Sefoka), was gunned down and his killers were never found.
