K.O Celebrates 10th Anniversary Of “Skhanda Republic”

SA Hip Hop star K.O is celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut studio album “Skhanda Republic.”

K.O has been killing it on the scene for years now. In 2014, the rap star dominated the scene with his first rap album, “Skhanda Republic,” becoming one of the most acclaimed projects on the SA Hip Hop scene.

The star recently took to social media and announced that he was celebrating the tenth anniversary of the project. The album turned ten years old in January this year. He reminded fans that he had to celebrate the project, writing,

“2024 is the 10th year anniversary for my debut project, Skhanda Republic. Times flies, and we still blessed. Gotta celebrate this right!”

SAHipHopMag writes that although the project was a “commercial success,” it also “sparked conversations about cultural identity and representation in South African music. Its impact transcended the boundaries of the music industry, influencing fashion, language, and youth culture as a whole.”

It remains one of the rapper’s most critically acclaimed projects. He has also announced plans to drop a new album some time this year but is yet to share more details about it. K.O also opened the SWAVE retail store in Johannesburg some weeks back.
