It is no longer news that the probe of the murder of South African rapper AKA is underway and that some people have been arrested in connection to the songster’s death. Obviously, not everyone would be following the probe,
But it would come as a surprise to many that local rapper K.O., a close friend of AKA, is among those who are not following the probe of the rapper’s assassination. The songster himself shared reasons recently.
Speaking about this, he indicated the decision not to follow the probe stems from preserving his mental health. Like a few other people, he was profoundly hurt by AKA’s assassination. And, trying to wean himself off the news and updates regarding that death seems to be his own way of staying sane.
He pointed out that his brother was AKA’s road manager, something that cemented their bond, Beyond that, he also noted that what comes to mind most days was how excited AKA was when they recorded a song together and the hug AKA gave him after that. All these are memories that reignite the pain of the rapper’s death.
So he would rather not dwell on things that seemingly keep the pain alive.
